Role Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room at Johnston-Willis Hospital, you will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on promoting educational growth, specialty certifications, and career advancement. Our facility features 16 operating suites performing a variety of surgical procedures, including Da Vinci, Trauma, Orthopedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Vascular, Pediatric, Urology, Plastic, and General Surgeries. Johnston-Willis Hospital is recognized for its leadership in robotic surgeries and has achieved the designation of a Center of Excellence in Robotics Surgery.

  • You will engage in a collaborative environment, supporting all team members within the department.
  • As part of this team, you will monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions using advanced computerized systems.
  • Our nurses act as the primary coordinators of care, ensuring seamless collaboration among all disciplines.
  • Participation in an On-Call rotation is required, with a callback time of 30 minutes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Perioperative RN or completion of a Perioperative Nurse training program.
  • Experience in scrubbing or surgical assistance is preferred.
  • Must hold or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
