As a Cardiac Care Stepdown Nurse - PRN, you will help enhance nursing practices and improve patient outcomes.
Job Summary and Qualifications
At Henrico Doctors' Hospital, our Cardiac Stepdown Nurses are tasked with delivering care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries, valve repairs, chest pain, coronary artery issues, cardio-thoracic surgeries, and telemetry monitoring.
Your responsibilities will include creating a comforting, safe, and healing environment for patients and their families, as well as performing and documenting care for all admissions and patients.
We are a dedicated and dynamic team seeking a remarkable addition like you. You will be responsible for administering medications while adhering to the five rights of medication administration. Our staff is expected to maintain current knowledge relevant to nursing practices in Critical Care. Your role will also involve initiating and documenting patient education and discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment commencement.
