Water and Wastewater Civil Engineering Project Specialist

Position Overview

Timmons Group is in search of a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Water & Wastewater to become a vital part of our Water & Wastewater Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize relevant software and modeling tools, including Civil 3D technology, to design various project components.
  • Apply engineering principles and computational tools to perform calculations and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Research and prepare specifications for materials, ensuring accurate installation, inspection, and payment processes specific to each project.
  • Develop detailed design elements and comprehensive plan sets.
  • Conduct research and compile objective summary reports to support project completion and inspections.
  • Assist in formulating engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Carry out field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed by senior engineering personnel.
  • Engage in communication with client representatives and internal design teams as guided by senior staff.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Preferred candidates will have academic or professional experience in civil engineering, particularly in water-related projects.
  • EIT or PE certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering design is required.
  • Proficiency in CADD and/or Civil 3D software is essential, with a preference for Civil 3D experience.
