Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a Water/Wastewater Engineer with 5-10 years of progressive experience in the planning and design of water and wastewater systems. This includes expertise in the design of pumping stations and upgrades to treatment facilities. Experience in providing support during the construction phase is highly valued.

The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently on technical tasks with minimal supervision, leading and coordinating various technical activities, and serving as the project design lead when necessary.

Additionally, the successful applicant will assist in the preparation of technical proposals, particularly in developing innovative technical approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, plan, and oversee the design of water and wastewater projects.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards while managing costs effectively.
- Ensure accurate client billing and control of work-in-progress.
- Participate in the construction phase, including pre-bid conferences, evaluations, and contract preparations.
- Engage in pre-project presentations and interviews.
- Lead project planning from procurement through execution and closeout, continuously monitoring project status to achieve objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Virginia or the ability to obtain it through comity within six months.
