Overview:
Accountable for the management of the organization's employee benefits offerings. Will provide specialized support and guidance to various locations regarding diverse employee benefit schemes.

Flexible Location:
This role is based at the Corporate Headquarters. The organization also operates administrative offices in multiple locations. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:


Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, and other ancillary benefits.

Support the annual evaluation of current and prospective benefit plans and their associated costs.

Assist in the rollout of new benefit offerings or modifications to existing plans.

Prepare and review premium payments for all Health & Welfare plans.

Facilitate leave of absence requests, including FMLA and disability claims.

Process claims for employee and retiree life insurance.

Manage the Defined Benefit Plan for eligible employees.

Administer the Retiree Health Reimbursement Account for eligible employees.

Gather benefit data and demographic information for actuaries, insurance providers, and management.

Assist in the preparation of necessary government filings.

Reconcile monthly general ledger and bank statements.

Develop and disseminate educational materials to inform employees about the organization's benefit offerings.

Support the HR team and employees with benefit inquiries or issues. Act as a liaison with benefit providers to resolve enrollment challenges or clarify coverage details.

Collaborate with the Total Rewards Manager to establish strategic objectives for the Benefits Program and contribute to benefit plan design.


Stay informed on all regulations related to employee benefits and serve as a resource for Human Resources personnel and all employees.


Comply with current laws and organizational policies aimed at fostering a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.


Engage in and promote adherence to all internal policies and practices supporting risk management and overall organizational integrity.


Qualifications:


High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant professional certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Total Rewards, or Human Resource certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) are required.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in benefits administration or a related field.

Experience managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration software.

Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ACA.

Advanced skills in Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships and collaborate effectively with employees, management, and vendors.

Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Attention to detail and accuracy in benefits administration and record-keeping.

Ability to provide guidance and support to HR personnel on benefits-related matters.
