Sensory Technical Manager

At dsm-firmenich, we are committed to innovation and excellence in the field of sensory quality control. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sensory Technical Manager to lead our sensory quality control program in the Americas region.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement regional sensory quality control strategies and roadmaps in alignment with global sensory standards.
- Oversee the implementation of sensory best practices, methods, and standards in our quality control laboratories in the region.
- Ensure site compliance, training, development, and validation programs for QC and non-QC sensory panelists.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sensory room standards and design for new or revamped lab projects.
- Drive sensory performance excellence and upskill the quality control community to reinforce its strength as a gatekeeper to prevent customer sensory rejections.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related areas with flavor and/or sensory specialty preferred.
- Previous work experience (5 to 7 years) in sensory is essential, with a preference for the flavor industry.
- Good knowledge of flavor raw materials, flavors, and GC/GC-MS.
- Advanced English skills (written, listening, and spoken) are required, with intermediate Spanish desired.
- People-oriented profile with trainer/teaching skills, communication skills both verbally and digitally.
