Job Summary

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Procedures Coordinator to join the Office of Procedures. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing work related to procedural and administrative needs of MAP/HC Procedures. This includes staying up-to-date with Department of Health policy changes to ensure that Medicaid eligibility factors are correctly stated.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the design, implementation, and operation of forms/special forms projects by demonstrating detailed knowledge of the Medicaid program.
- Test and revise forms to ensure they pass the agency's literacy standard and add final formatting to draft documents submitted in Microsoft Word and InfoPath.
- Draft and edit instructional guides and convert documents created in Microsoft Word and InfoPath to Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
- Receive Local Law 73 and Local Law 30 finalized text translations from the Office of Refugee and Immigrant Affairs and address procedural problems.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual status reports to track project-related goals.
- Interpret policies and procedures by providing information to staff and clarifying incoming directives from the State and City agencies regarding Medicaid rules and regulations.

Qualifications

- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty.
- An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described above.
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described above.
