Job Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee safety training and orientation programs tailored for project sites.
Document, monitor, and address safety violations and initiatives, along with unsafe and safe conditions and behaviors.
Conduct comprehensive safety audits of work areas.
Gather and analyze leading and trailing indicator data related to safety.
Participate in significant incident investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and analysis.
Manage OSHA reporting and compliance requirements.
Review safety submissions and engage in preconstruction and preparatory meetings with subcontractors.
Evaluate subcontractor work plans and activities for potential safety issues.
Accompany safety, health, owner, insurance, and OSHA representatives during site inspections.

Oversee the management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on-site and assist the Project Manager in managing the allocated safety budget for the project.

Support on-site injury management and case management efforts.
Facilitate the development and monitoring of Return to Work and Modified Duty assignments and related documentation.
Assist in organizing and implementing project safety recognition and reward initiatives.
Contribute to project planning and hazard analysis activities.

Position Requirements:

A successful Safety Engineer fosters positive professional relationships while collaborating closely with field personnel, management at all levels, and external agencies throughout all construction phases.

Must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance and standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while effectively engaging with a diverse range of skill levels, seniority, and authority.

Collaborate with the project management team to develop and execute site-specific safety programs and initiatives.
Qualifications: 1-4 years of safety experience in the construction sector.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1926.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a diverse workforce.
Proactive and action-oriented.
Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
A degree in safety or a related technical field is preferred.
