Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking an IBCS Material Fielding Manager 2 to oversee a diverse team of professionals. The selected individual will be responsible for leading the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) Material Fielding Team.

Your role will encompass the successful execution of tasks and requirements, including the formulation of a comprehensive Material Fielding Plan, engaging with the government material fielding team, conducting site assessments, coordinating with end users, managing on-site fielding resources, and evaluating the performance of material fielding against established plans. The Material Fielding Manager will also facilitate the New Material In-brief and oversee the distribution of IBCS equipment to users globally. You will be tasked with developing, organizing, and leading a cohesive team of personnel, including trainers, supply support staff, and field service representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate under the guidance of the IBCS Logistics Program Manager.
  • Lead the Material Fielding Team, which includes logisticians, military trainers, and training developers.
  • Assist in the creation of Memorandum of Notification (MON) alongside the IFMC logistics director and fielding team lead.
  • Support the development and delivery of the New Material Introductory Brief (NMIB).
  • Fulfill tasks related to the creation of a Material Fielding Plan.
  • Engage with the government material fielding team for customer interactions.
  • Conduct site surveys for fielding operations.
  • Coordinate with end users effectively.
  • Manage Northrop Grumman fielding resources on-site.
  • Assess the performance of material fielding initiatives against the plan.
  • Facilitate the New Material In-brief and supervise the delivery of IBCS equipment worldwide.
  • Lead and organize an integrated team of personnel, including trainers and field service representatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Statement of Work requirements and facilitate understanding among team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 14 years of experience in Material Fielding or related fields with a High School diploma; alternatives include 10 years with a Bachelor's degree or 8 years with a Master's degree.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills across various levels within the organization and with government customers.
  • Ability to create briefing materials and articulate information clearly to senior management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Material Fielding requirements.
  • Proven experience in supporting programs to achieve full material release.
  • Experience in training development and the creation of standard training materials.
  • Capability to adhere to Statement of Work requirements.
  • Experience in managing complex integrated resource schedules.
  • Ability to estimate resource needs and evaluate costs associated with fielding operations.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management and resource allocation.
  • Experience in developing estimations for proposals.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to team success.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Possession of an Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NG CAM certification.
  • Experience in conducting or leading fielding operations.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and collaborate with government counterparts.
  • Prior experience in developing and delivering MON and NMIB.
  • Expertise in US Army fielding regulations.
  • Strong understanding of Material Fielding requirements.
  • Ability to work across various logistics and engineering disciplines.
  • Experience in estimating resource requirements and associated costs.
