Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking an IBCS Material Fielding Manager 2 to oversee a diverse team of professionals. The selected individual will be responsible for leading the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) Material Fielding Team.

Your role will encompass guiding the Material Fielding Team towards the successful fulfillment of objectives, which includes the formulation of a comprehensive Material Fielding Plan, engaging with government material fielding representatives, conducting site assessments, coordinating with end users, managing on-site resources, and evaluating the performance of material fielding initiatives against established plans. The Material Fielding Manager will also facilitate the introduction of new materials and supervise the distribution of IBCS equipment to users globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate under the guidance of the IBCS Logistics Program Manager.
  • Lead the Material Fielding Team, comprising logisticians, military trainers, and training developers.
  • Assist in the preparation of Memorandum of Notification (MON) with the IFMC logistics director.
  • Support the IFMC fielding lead in crafting and presenting the New Material Introductory Brief (NMIB).
  • Complete tasks related to the development of a Material Fielding Plan.
  • Engage with government material fielding teams.
  • Conduct fielding site evaluations.
  • Coordinate with end users effectively.
  • Manage Northrop Grumman fielding resources on-site.
  • Assess the performance of material fielding against the plan.
  • Facilitate the New Material In-brief and oversee the delivery of IBCS equipment to users worldwide.
  • Develop, organize, and lead a cohesive team of trainers, supply support personnel, and field service representatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Statement of Work requirements and facilitate team understanding and compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 14 years of experience in Material Fielding or related roles with a High School diploma, or 10 years with a Bachelor's degree, or 8 years with a Master's degree.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills across various levels within the organization and with government clients.
  • Ability to prepare briefing materials, reports, and other written communications clearly.
  • In-depth understanding of Material Fielding requirements.
  • Proven experience in supporting programs through full material release.
  • Experience in training development and updating TRADOC standard training materials.
  • Ability to adhere to Statement of Work requirements.
  • Experience in managing complex integrated resource schedules.
  • Capability to estimate resource needs and evaluate costs related to fielding operations.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and resource allocation.
  • Experience in developing resource, cost, and schedule estimations for proposals.
  • Demonstrated positive personality and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Possess an Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NG CAM certification.
  • Experience in conducting or leading fielding operations.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and collaborate with government counterparts.
  • Prior experience in developing and delivering MON and NMIB.
  • Expert understanding of US Army fielding regulations.
  • Strong grasp of Material Fielding requirements.
  • Ability to work across multiple logistics and engineering disciplines.
  • Capability to estimate resource needs and evaluate costs for fielding operations.
