IBCS Logistics Fielding Lead

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is in search of an IBCS Material Fielding Manager 2 to oversee our expanding team of diverse professionals. The chosen candidate will be responsible for directing the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) Material Fielding Team.

Your role will involve steering the IBCS Material Fielding Team towards the successful fulfillment of tasks and requirements, which includes crafting a comprehensive Material Fielding Plan, engaging with government material fielding representatives, conducting site assessments, coordinating with end users, managing on-site resources, and evaluating the material fielding performance against established benchmarks. The Material Fielding Manager will also conduct introductory briefings for new materials and supervise the distribution of IBCS equipment to users globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate under the guidance of the IBCS Logistics Program Manager.
  • Lead the Material Fielding Team, comprising logisticians, military trainers, and training developers through subordinate managers.
  • Assist in the formulation of Memorandum of Notification (MON) alongside the IFMC logistics director and fielding team lead.
  • Support the development and presentation of the New Material Introductory Brief (NMIB).
  • Execute tasks related to the creation of a Material Fielding Plan.
  • Engage with government material fielding teams.
  • Conduct site surveys for fielding.
  • Facilitate coordination with end users.
  • Manage Northrop Grumman fielding resources on-site.
  • Assess the performance of material fielding initiatives against the plan.
  • Conduct New Material In-briefs and oversee the delivery of IBCS equipment to users worldwide.
  • Develop, organize, and lead a cohesive team of personnel, including trainers and field service representatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Statement of Work requirements and ensure team members are aligned with all tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 14 years of experience in Material Fielding or related fields with a High School diploma; alternatively, 10 years with a Bachelor's degree or 8 years with a Master's degree.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills both vertically and horizontally within the IBCS Organization and with the US Government Customer Organization.
  • Ability to create briefing materials, reports, and other written communications for Senior Management or Executives.
  • In-depth understanding of Material Fielding requirements.
  • Proven experience in supporting programs to achieve full material release.
  • Experience in training development and updating TRADOC standard training materials.
  • Capability to adhere to Statement of Work requirements and ensure team compliance.
  • Experience in building and managing complex integrated resource schedules.
  • Ability to estimate resource needs and assess costs related to fielding operations.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, schedule development, and resource allocation.
  • Experience in developing resource, cost, and schedule estimations for proposals.
  • A positive, outgoing personality with a strong work ethic and commitment to team success.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Possession of an Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NG CAM certification.
  • Experience in conducting, scheduling, or leading fielding operations.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and collaborate with government counterparts for mission success.
  • Prior experience in developing and delivering MON and NMIB.
  • Expertise in US Army fielding regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of Material Fielding requirements.
  • Ability to work across various disciplines of Logistics and Engineering.
  • Capability to estimate resource needs and assess costs related to fielding operations.
