ROLE SUMMARY

The Event Hospitality Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a remarkable and unforgettable experience for guests attending events at City Winery. This position offers flexibility, with opportunities for both part-time and full-time hours based on the event schedule and venue requirements. Responsibilities include the setup, service, and breakdown of various private events, which may encompass weddings, corporate gatherings, exclusive dinners, and private concerts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver exceptional service to guests at all events, striving to surpass their expectations.
  • Execute all assigned tasks related to the specific event, including setup, service delivery, and teardown.
  • Serve food and beverages while addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly.
  • Maintain an organized table setting by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and ensuring water glasses are filled.
  • Adhere to City Winery's service standards to guarantee a high-quality event experience.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, particularly regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Participate in training sessions, tastings, and team meetings as required.
  • Follow company policies and maintain a professional appearance, arriving on time and in uniform.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support event operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a banquet or event service role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a luxury event setting is preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality guest experiences and create memorable moments.
  • Strong service skills with the ability to manage diverse clientele with professionalism.
  • Capability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work proactively and take initiative.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to perform the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
