Position Overview

At Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), we are seeking a dedicated Ticket & Hospitality Coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of ticketing and hospitality for client entertainment events. This role encompasses various events, including sporting events, concerts, and special gatherings within the Americas Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently coordinate ticketing and hospitality for corporate sponsorships and events.
  • Develop and implement ticket and event policies that align with business strategies and compliance regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and approvers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage reporting, tracking, and reconciliation of data, including processing catering orders and invoices.
  • Utilize internal vendor technology systems effectively and request updates as necessary.
  • Prepare and disseminate internal communications to promote events and solicit requests.
  • Liaise with vendors and venues to ensure compliance with contract terms and timely updates.
  • Establish and maintain an employee recognition ticket program.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance client service.
  • Support the Corporate Sponsorships and Meeting & Events Team with various event-related tasks, including compiling attendee lists and post-event data reconciliation.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in ticket and hospitality management or event support.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in navigating various technology systems and platforms.
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Maintain confidentiality and foster effective relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and responsiveness.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgment in escalating issues.
  • Demonstrate high standards of ethics, integrity, and discretion.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and MS Teams.
Work Environment

SMBC operates under a hybrid workforce model, allowing employees to work both remotely and from the office. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their office location.
