Engineering Manufacturing Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:
As a leader of an engineering team focused on semiconductor or module production, you will oversee engineers and senior technicians. Your primary goal will be to enhance processes and equipment performance in collaboration with the operations team to meet production throughput, yield, and performance targets. You will also spearhead process and equipment enhancement initiatives to achieve these goals. Cultivating a culture of collaboration, adaptability, and accountability will be essential in driving results.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of eight years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, demonstrating successful management and motivation of teams to achieve objectives.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Proficient in problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa.
- In-depth knowledge of Continuous Improvement/Quality Tools, Robust Engineering, SPC, and Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher certification).
- Exceptional data management skills, with proficiency in software tools like JMP for data analysis and visualization.
- Experience in high-volume semiconductor or photovoltaic manufacturing is strongly preferred, particularly in areas such as thin-film deposition, annealing, and advanced automation.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Accountable for achieving equipment, process, and product performance objectives in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Manage continuous improvement activities related to equipment and processes to meet production goals.
- Ensure the maintenance of controlled documentation to uphold high product quality standards.
- Oversee preventative maintenance documentation to minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
- Guide your team in adhering to manufacturing systems for change management.
- Develop and monitor departmental budgets for expenses and capital.
- Participate in global alignment meetings with peer managers and oversee engineers in respective forums.
- Responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of manufacturing engineering and operations personnel.
- Create development plans for associates focusing on skill enhancement and professional growth.
- Foster effective communication and team-building within the department.
- Serve as a role model for safety practices and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 5% travel (domestic and/or international) under normal circumstances.
- Initial training may require extended time in another facility prior to the start of operations.
- $122,800 - $175,000, Annually
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- Occasional climbing of stairs and lifting of up to 28 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands for various tasks.
- Vision requirements of 20/40 in each eye, with or without correction.
- Compliance with safety standards and the ability to wear personal protective equipment.
