Position Overview:
In the role of Facilities Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily preventative and responsive maintenance operations, along with inspections and testing, to ensure a safe and compliant environment within the healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory standards and requirements from various agencies, including but not limited to:
- CMS
- CDPH
- State Board of Pharmacy
- TJC
- Cal OSHA
- CARB
- Lead a team of approximately thirty employees, including superintendents, administrative personnel, facility technicians, and specialized external contractors.

- Act as the representative for the organization during inspections and surveys conducted by regulatory bodies, actively participating in risk management initiatives.

- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support the overarching objectives of the healthcare system, fostering a culture that prioritizes safety, engagement, equity, and inclusivity.

Financial Management:
- Maintain departmental budgetary compliance and address any variances that may arise.

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (additional hours may be required based on departmental needs).

Compensation:
- Annual salary range: $92,600 - $202,200.

Qualifications:
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Life Safety Engineering, Power Generation Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in representing or assisting a California acute-care hospital during regulatory inspections.

- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for hospitals in California.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) and experience with CMMS in a healthcare setting.

- Strong time management and communication skills to effectively navigate a dynamic hospital environment.

- Ability to engage positively with a diverse group of stakeholders and team members.

- Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate both staff and external vendors.

- Capacity to make informed decisions in critical situations while recognizing when escalation is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience managing facilities in a 200-bed or larger acute-care hospital.
