Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Hollywood Casino Tunica. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic support to our business units, driving talent acquisition and development initiatives, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
- Support the recruitment process for non-exempt roles, including managing job postings, screening candidates, and building talent pipelines.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract top talent and improve time-to-hire metrics.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee grievances, harassment claims, and EEOC issues.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to property leadership, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Work closely with property management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Conduct exit interviews, record feedback, and report patterns to management.
- Assist in the handling of unemployment compensation claims.
- Facilitate training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, customer service, and supervisory/management development training.
- Develop and maintain internal communications, including video presentations, newsletters, and email.
- Conduct frequent assessments of HR initiatives and make recommendations to improve effectiveness.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation consistent with company policies, state and federal statutes, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Attend training and meetings as required.
- Collect, analyze, and identify trends in HR data to inform HR strategy and make recommendations.
- Assist with the design and execution of engagement, wellness, and retention events.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
- Minimum of two to four years of HR experience, preferably in a similar role.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with various levels of the organization to develop and influence the culture.
- Highly effective organizational skills, presentation skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state, local, and federal labor laws and regulations related to HR.
