Human Resources Generalist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Hollywood Casino Tunica. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic support to our business units, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Support the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage open job requisitions, pre-screen candidates, and build talent pools for all positions.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
  • Conduct investigations into grievances, harassment, and EEOC issues, and provide guidance on performance management.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to property leadership, including coaching, counseling, and career development.
  • Work closely with property management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Conduct exit interviews, record feedback, and report patterns to management.
  • Assist with unemployment compensation claims and facilitate training programs for employees.
  • Develop and maintain internal communications, including video presentations, newsletters, and social media.
  • Conduct frequent assessments of HR initiatives and make recommendations to improve effectiveness.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two to four years of HR experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office software.
  • Ability to work with various levels of the organization to develop and influence the culture.
  • Highly effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, presentation skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state, local, and federal labor laws and regulations related to HR.
