Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be located in Palmdale, CA where technology and teamwork come together. This position will be 2nd shift.

Job Responsibilities:


Oversee quality assurance, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program outcomes, subcontractors, and suppliers in alignment with contractual obligations.

Lead a team of skilled professionals in ensuring product quality.

Recruit, train, and mentor the next generation of NDT professionals to help develop new inspection techniques for current and future products.

Execute daily activities for multi-shift operations and represent NDT for all Programs. Develop and implement testing and inspection procedures.

Lead the team that tests raw materials, chemicals, and/or finished products to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations.

Recommend corrective actions where necessary. Fulfill staffing requirements including hiring and tracking of personnel. Manage indirect budgets and ensure adherence to budget constraints. Submit annual capital request submittals tracking, delivery, and providing oversight through assigning property numbers as proof of receipt. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff.

Plan and monitor program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages.


Basic Qualifications:


Bachelors Degree and 5-10 years of experience in a Quality Assurance/Quality Management role with at least 5 years of that experience in an Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industry, or H.S.

Diploma and 9+ years of that experience in an Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industry.
1-5 years of Non-Destructive Inspection Experience.
2 years of leadership experience.

Active DoD clearance as well as the ability to obtain/maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.


Preferred Qualifications:
Aviation Inspection Experience.
LEAN - Six Sigma (Green or Black belt).
ASNT LV III in multiple methods.
5-10 years of Leadership/Supervisory or Lead experience.

Salary Range:
$115,000 - $172,600


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
