Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for an Aerospace Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team of skilled, diverse professionals.

This position requires a standard work schedule of 4/10, Monday through Thursday, with potential shifts and weekend work as necessary throughout the year.
The inspector collaborates with testing personnel to ensure adherence to established processes and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Participate in pre-testing activities including reviewing test plans and procedural documentation.
Confirm that all pre-test readiness tasks are completed.
Evaluate readiness for formal testing events.
Ensure the physical and digital testing environment and configuration (e.g., laboratory, computers, hardware, firmware, software, versions, checksums, etc.) aligns with documented specifications.
Observe testing to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
Document all defects and anomalies.
Ensure all documentation is complete (logbooks, forms, etc.) per prescribed protocols.
Verify that test outcomes are accurately recorded.
Engage in post-testing activities such as reviewing test report documentation and gathering test metrics.
Identify quality issues and recommend solutions.
Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and manage the disposition of damaged items.

Basic Qualifications Level 3:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant aerospace experience.
Familiarity with aerospace/control element/lab unit screen verification.
An active in-scope DoD Secret clearance.
The ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access.
Capability to communicate effectively and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
Able to comprehend sequences of operations or actions required.
Experienced in interpreting technical drawings and adhering to manufacturing work instructions and inspection protocols.
Able to stand for extended periods during inspections, lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and handle hazardous materials.

Basic Qualifications Level 4:
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant aerospace experience.
Familiarity with aerospace/control element/lab unit screen verification.
An active in-scope DoD Secret clearance.
The ability to obtain/maintain program access.
Capability to communicate effectively and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
Able to comprehend sequences of operations or actions required.
Experienced in interpreting technical drawings and adhering to manufacturing work instructions and inspection protocols.

Able to stand for extended periods during inspections, lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and handle hazardous materials.

Preferred Qualifications:
FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant License.
Associate Degree in an aerospace discipline.
An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance.

Salary Range:
$68,600 - $114,400

Salary Range 2:
$81,500 - $135,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
