Job Summary

The Sales Development Representative drives revenue growth by identifying and generating new business opportunities for various types of customers. This role fosters strong customer relationships by maintaining regular contact and managing customer expectations. The Sales Development Representative provides education on products and services through technical presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new leads through networking, cold calling, and researching various directories and online sources.
  • Routinely interact with customers to foster strong relationships and maintain satisfaction.
  • Understand complex customer requirements for preparation of customized quoting.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations and ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Assist with on-site troubleshooting of customer concerns.
  • Work with and coordinate vendor resources to build relationships and support sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Increase revenue and profitability through generation of new business and further development of existing accounts.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically requires industry and sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices.
  • Ability to influence customers while maintaining healthy relationships.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time well.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of industrial products, including power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial products.
