Position Summary: Selby Jennings is in search of a talented and experienced Senior Investment Analyst to enhance our team. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), Software, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) sectors, along with a history of delivering successful investment insights. This position entails performing thorough research, assessing market dynamics, and formulating investment strategies to bolster our asset management efforts.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute extensive research and analysis on firms within the TMT, Software, and AI domains.
  • Create and sustain intricate financial models to underpin investment suggestions.
  • Track industry developments, competitive environments, and technological innovations.
  • Assess potential investment prospects through meticulous due diligence.
  • Compile and present investment analyses and recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to design and implement investment strategies.
  • Foster relationships with industry specialists, corporate leaders, and other significant stakeholders.
  • Remain informed on regulatory shifts and their implications for the sectors involved.
  • Guide and mentor junior analysts within the department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA designation is advantageous.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in investment analysis, particularly in TMT, Software, and AI sectors.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and expertise in financial modeling.
  • Strong comprehension of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and investment principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed, data-driven investment choices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • High standards of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Bloomberg, and other financial analysis platforms.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for analytical purposes.
  • Experience utilizing alternative data sources and machine learning methodologies.
  • Awareness of global market trends and macroeconomic influences.
