Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at the City and County of San Francisco. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data, preparing complex financial documents, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine information to departmental personnel on the preparation of financial reports and program implementation related to accounts payable and procurement.
  • Assist in preparing reports and proposals related to financial operations and procurement.
  • Perform complex accounting analysis and financial transaction processing, including reconciliations, encumbrances, and payments.
  • Track and coordinate revenue and expenditures, grants, program budgets, and other funds.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial, budget, and audit reports.
  • Maintain purchasing and expense files, and other accounts payable and procurement documents and certificates.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Finance, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of the principles and processes of finance and accounting.
  • Prior accounts payable experience.
  • Ability to review and analyze expense reports, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Ability to utilize computers for word-processing, databases, Internet, e-mail, and various spreadsheet software.
  • High accuracy in processing disbursements, attention to details, and organizational skills.
