POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Contractor will play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial and Corporate Functions FP&A team. This position encompasses comprehensive FP&A support for all Selling, General, and Administrative functions, alongside overseeing the company's planning and reporting consolidation efforts. This essential role fosters the growth of the Financial Planning and Analysis function while maintaining a robust interaction with senior and executive leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of Commercial FP&A Capabilities:
    • Lead the monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting processes for proprietary product revenue, gross-to-net discounts, and functional expense management.
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with the Chief Commercial Officer and the Commercial Leadership Team.
    • Create reporting KPIs and metrics for all commercial products.
    • Collaborate closely with Managed Markets and Cost Accounting functions to enhance Gross-to-Net forecasting and optimization.
  • Company-Wide Financial Consolidation:
    • Lead the Corporate Functions FP&A team.
    • Drive the financial planning and reporting processes across the organization.
    • Prepare Executive and Board reporting packages.
    • Maintain a detailed understanding of financial forecasts to inform strategic risk-taking decisions.
    • Administer Financial Planning and Reporting Software, ensuring data feeds and system efficiency initiatives are optimized.
  • Financial Analysis and Communication:
    • Analyze variances and proactively communicate issues and opportunities to management.
    • Provide thought leadership and influence business leaders through insightful financial analytics.
    • Develop complex financial models and analytical tools to facilitate sound financial and business decisions.
    • Ensure a high degree of quality, timeliness, and accuracy in all deliverables.
    • Collaborate effectively with Senior Leadership and Departmental Heads.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties, projects, and process improvements as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • At least five years of FP&A experience in a similar capacity, with two years in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including advanced functions and modeling techniques.
  • Solid adaptability in leveraging finance system capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
  • Comprehensive understanding of forecasting financial statements.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential in this collaborative environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic company environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role may require prolonged periods at a desk, answering calls, and using a keyboard for communication. Some physical activities, such as walking and lifting up to 20 lbs., may be necessary. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel may be required up to 15% of the time.
