POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager serves as the main liaison with clients for the contracts assigned. This role is crucial for steering the overall operational success of the contract. The Project Manager ensures that all client contract stipulations are fulfilled and that the projects achieve or surpass all performance benchmarks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Relations and Satisfaction:

  • Works in collaboration with the Executive Vice President, Account Manager, and/or Senior Project Manager to formulate a relationship strategy and assigns team members to uphold relationships at the appropriate level.
  • Takes charge of addressing and resolving all client concerns or issues related to the project.

Operational Excellence at INTREN:

Contractual and Financial Oversight:

  • Comprehends the contract and any supplementary documentation concerning project requirements or expectations, which may include but are not limited to: Deliverables, KPIs, timelines, safety protocols, and client-specific stipulations.
  • Manages modifications or scope changes through contract amendments and reviews the originally agreed-upon scope with the client.
  • Ensures that INTREN's tracking systems align with contract and reporting obligations.
  • Guarantees that all data is entered into the INTREN system accurately and promptly.
  • Guides staff in executing necessary invoicing and project closure.
  • Supervises the estimating process and assigned field resources in creating estimates and proposals.
  • Ensures the quality of data provided to the client.

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily operations for all aspects of assigned projects, from initiation through execution and closure.
  • Directs team members to ensure job setup, production accuracy, cost precision, and management of change orders.
  • Communicates support needs to staff clearly and promptly.
  • Delivers project status updates on overall performance to the Senior Project Manager at agreed intervals.
  • Accountable for overall project performance (P&L).
  • Responsible for providing regular project status and performance reports to the client.
  • Maintains a resource-loaded schedule for all assigned projects.
  • Reviews and approves project documentation, including but not limited to: timesheets, production reports, and accounts payable, in a timely manner.
  • Leads project teams and employs project management tools and methodologies to execute projects effectively, including:
  • Reviewing and accepting contractual terms and conditions.
  • Incorporating client requirements and procedures into the execution plan.
  • Guiding the team in developing and implementing the project plan and schedule.
  • Monitoring performance against key performance indicators and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Applying lessons learned to improve future performance.
  • Managing the performance of the project team.
  • Identifying high-risk activities and formulating mitigation strategies.
  • Keeping the client informed about project status, issues, changes, etc.

Adherence to Procedures:

  • Follows all defined processes and procedures applicable to INTREN.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and strong computer proficiency are essential. Good problem-solving skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks are critical. Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize work.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, client focus, and results-driven approach.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching and facilitating business competency.
  • Ability to develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies, including technology and performance enhancements.
  • Demonstrated leadership and performance management capabilities in a high-performance environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
