Agile Project Coordinator with Scrum Expertise

Experis is seeking an Agile Project Coordinator with Scrum Master expertise for a contract opportunity. This position is fully remote, and candidates should be available to work during EST hours.

Role: Scrum Master/Project Coordinator

  • This role is a hybrid position, where the individual will spend 50% of their time fulfilling Scrum Master responsibilities and the other 50% managing IT projects. We are not looking for an Agile Coach.
Job Overview: We are in search of a skilled professional to take on the dual role of Scrum Master and Project Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for facilitating the Scrum framework for our development teams while simultaneously overseeing project management tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of agile methodologies, and traditional project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hold a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
2. Have a background in IT, specifically in managing Application Development projects.
3. Exhibit strong soft skills, including facilitation, communication, and the ability to present to C-suite executives; take ownership of project delivery and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset; create structure around projects with a focus on management rather than administration.
4. Provide financial oversight for projects, including budget development, controls, and progress monitoring; participate in identifying costs, resource allocation, and schedule adjustments.
5. Develop, refine, validate, and manage project plans to ensure 95% on-time and on-budget delivery across the organization.
6. Utilize project management methodologies, standards, and best practices while coordinating all necessary internal and external resources to complete assigned projects.
7. Communicate project status and potential issues to functional leadership in a timely manner; confirm and pursue deliverables across various workstreams.
8. Analyze processes and recommend optimizations for resource utilization and product delivery; drive towards standardization.
9. Create project plans based on specifications from stakeholders and portfolio management, ensuring effective execution of initiatives.
10. Build consensus among multiple process leads regarding project scope, task execution, staffing, and issue resolution.
11. Act as a liaison with service vendors on behalf of the represented business area.
12. Identify potential risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions within the project; escalate as necessary and proactively manage challenges.
13. Engage frequently with staff, including business area management, portfolio managers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
14. Familiarity with JIRA and MS Project is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Clarity PPM Tool

• Knowledge of Confluence

• Familiarity with SAFE

• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
