POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison with clients for the contracts under their purview. This role is crucial for steering the overall operational effectiveness of the contract. The Project Manager is tasked with ensuring that all client contract stipulations are fulfilled and that the projects achieve or surpass all performance benchmarks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Relations and Satisfaction:

  • Works in collaboration with the Executive Vice President, Account Manager, and/or Senior Project Manager to formulate a relationship strategy and designates personnel to uphold relationships at the appropriate level.
  • Accountable for addressing and resolving all client inquiries or issues related to the project.

Operational Performance at INTREN:

Contractual and Financial Management:

  • Comprehends the contract and any supplementary documentation regarding project requirements or expectations, which may encompass: Deliverables, KPIs, timelines, safety protocols, and client-specific stipulations.
  • Manages alterations or scope changes through contract amendments and reviews of the originally agreed-upon scope with the client.
  • Ensures that INTREN's tracking systems align with contract and reporting obligations.
  • Guarantees that all data is entered into the INTREN system accurately and promptly.
  • Directs personnel to carry out necessary invoicing and project closure tasks.
  • Supervises the estimating process and allocated field resources in developing estimates and proposals.
  • Ensures the quality of data provided to the client.

Project Management Duties:

  • Oversees daily operations for all facets of assigned projects, from inception through execution and closure.
  • Guides staff to ensure project setup, production accuracy, cost precision, and management of change orders.
  • Communicates support needs to staff clearly and promptly.
  • Delivers project status updates on overall performance to the Senior Project Manager at agreed intervals.
  • Responsible for the overall project performance (P&L).
  • Provides regular project status updates and performance reports to the client.
  • Maintains a resource-loaded schedule for all assigned projects.
  • Reviews and approves project documentation in a timely manner, including timesheets, production reports, and accounts payable.
  • Leads project teams utilizing project management tools and methodologies to execute projects effectively, including:
    • Review and acceptance of contractual terms and conditions.
    • Incorporation of client requirements and procedures into the execution plan.
    • Guiding the team in the development and execution of the project plan and schedule.
    • Monitoring performance against key performance indicators and adjusting plans as necessary.
    • Applying lessons learned from previous projects.
    • Managing team performance.
    • Identifying high-risk activities and formulating mitigation strategies.
    • Keeping the client informed about project status, issues, changes, etc.

Adherence to Procedures:

  • Follows all applicable defined processes and procedures at INTREN.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and strong computer proficiency are essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks are critical. Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize work.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, client focus, and results-driven approach.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching and facilitating business competencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies, including technology and performance enhancements.
  • Proven leadership and performance management capabilities in a high-performance environment.

Pay: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
