Position: IT System Administrator

The IT System Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and the underlying infrastructure, including networks and servers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Networking: Oversee VLAN configuration, network segmentation, switch programming, and remote access management through VPN.
  • Server Management: Conduct routine management of servers, primarily within Microsoft Windows environments, and maintain virtual environments using VMWARE.
  • Security Management: Utilize advanced security tools such as XDR and SIEM.
  • Software Deployment: Manage software deployment through MS Intune and Windows Deployment Services.
  • Scripting and Automation: Implement automation through PowerShell, CScript, and VBScript.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in server, database, and network administration, including cloud systems.
  • Strong understanding of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
  • Experience with IT security principles and tools.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement IT system upgrade plans.
  • Attention to detail and reliability are essential.
  • Project management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
