Key Responsibilities:

Networking:

  • Oversee VLAN configuration and network segmentation.
  • Manage switch programming and stacking.
  • Administer Remote Access via VPN.
  • Oversee overall Firewall systems.

Hosting:

  • Conduct routine server management, primarily within Microsoft Windows environments.
  • Maintain VMWARE virtual infrastructures.
  • Administer Azure Virtual Machines and O365.
  • Manage VEEAM and other backup technologies.
  • Ensure SQL server maintenance.

Security:

  • Utilize XDR and SIEM tools for enhanced security.

Software Deployments:

  • Implement MS Intune and MS Deployment ToolKit MDT / Windows Deployment Services WDS.

Scripting / Automation:

  • Utilize PowerShell, CScript, and VBScript for automation tasks.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in server, database, network administration, and cloud system administration.
  • Strong understanding of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
  • Familiarity with modern IT security principles and tools.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement IT system upgrade plans.
  • Expertise in helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Attention to detail and reliability are essential.
  • Project management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
  • Preferred experience with VEEAM backups, SQL server, Ruckus/Brocade or Extreme switches, and firewall management.
