Job Description

Marathon TS is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, configuration, integration, and support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Integration: Designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing, storage, and virtualization hardware systems.
  • Functional Analysis: Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Network Engineering: Provides Network Engineering and Data Center support to design, operate, maintain, secure, and document three developmental enterprise networks.
  • Problem Resolution: Isolates and resolves simple and complex network problems within the enterprise, including design, installation, operation, application of security policies, vulnerability analysis, and remediation.
  • System Management: Works independently and across IT functional boundaries to maintain maximum operability to meet critical mission objectives.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Performs re-accreditation actions, including DISA STIG review, IOS upgrades, vulnerability scan remediation, and document various lists during the network's accreditation cycle.
  • Security and Compliance: Reviews Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins related to CISCO, Juniper, Dell, Netscout, and other products, and develops and implements remediation plans.
Requirements:
  • Strong Visio Knowledge: Experienced with Security Systems Engineering Plans and the Defense Acquisition System (PDR/CDR/MVP/ORR/System Acceptance, etc.).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate security findings across various stakeholder communities, including software developers, system administrators, project managers, program managers, system owners, and authorizing officials.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of PowerShell, PowerCLI, API scripting, and Javascript a plus.
