Position OverviewSystems Architect.

ROLE SUMMARY
  • Participates in the successful execution of targeted engineering initiatives and projects.
  • Formulates solutions to a range of intricate engineering challenges.
  • Engages in comprehensive systems design, development, and integration throughout the entire lifecycle of systems.
  • Manages sophisticated infrastructure, including the installation, configuration, testing, and upkeep of operating systems, application software, and system management utilities.
  • Conducts advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analytical assessments.
  • Creates and sustains documentation for processes and methodologies pertinent to engineering endeavors.
  • Stays abreast of rapidly evolving technological advancements.
  • May mentor and offer direction to junior professionals.
  • May assume the role of team or task leader.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or professional/military experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
  • Active security clearance required and eligibility for additional security assessments.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in Linux system administration.
  • Experience with scripting and coding (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Ansible.
  • Experience with Helm charts.
  • Expertise in automation techniques.

PREFERRED SKILLS

In-depth knowledge in one of the following areas, along with a working understanding of one or more of the other areas:
  • Operational support services.
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng).
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Ceph storage solutions.
  • GitLab version control.
