Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement comprehensive backup and recovery protocols for our storage infrastructure.
  • Oversee and optimize data backup processes to guarantee successful execution and peak performance.
  • Conduct routine assessments and validations of backup systems to detect and rectify any security weaknesses.
  • Work in partnership with diverse teams to formulate and uphold storage security guidelines and practices.
  • Investigate and address security incidents associated with storage backup systems.
  • Carry out vulnerability evaluations and penetration testing to uncover and mitigate potential risks.
  • Remain informed about the latest advancements in security trends and technologies, proposing and executing enhancements to bolster storage backup security.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in storage backup security, emphasizing the design and implementation of secure storage solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of storage technologies and backup tools, including but not limited to EMC, NetApp, Veeam, or CommVault.
  • Familiarity with storage protocols and technologies such as NAS, SAN, and cloud storage.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001 and NIST.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a swift response to security incidents.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively in a group setting.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP or CISM, are advantageous but not mandatory.
