Job Title: Business Development Director

Monroe Capital Corporation is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to support and promote the firm's Private Credit offerings into the Wealth Management Channel.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain relationships primarily within the Family Offices community, as well as independent RIA and private bank channels. This role will also work within the overall Marketing and Investor Relations program at Monroe Capital, which will entail special projects and additional requirements as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and Advisors in the Family Office community, educate them on Monroe private credit offerings, capture sales opportunities, and/or increase market share of their client allocations.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, group presentations, and conference calls. Deliver high-quality product knowledge and develop strong rapport with investors to drive results.
  • Attend industry events and conferences as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of Monroe's various platform and offerings.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry/market trends.
  • Utilize management reporting tools to capture sales and client activity.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of external Business Development experience in the advisor-sold space with extensive connectivity in the wealth management channel, primarily the single and multi-Family Office space.
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising within the Family Office community.
  • Established relationships within the Family Office community.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business-related degree (preferred).

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong desire to succeed and be entrepreneurial.
  • Well-organized self-starter with high energy, creativity, and thoughtfulness.
  • Strong time management skills and high level of responsiveness.
  • The ability to work within a team.
  • Experience in the alternative asset management such as private credit, private equity, or hedge funds.
  • CFA or CAIA preferred.
