As an Executive Administrative Coordinator, you will undertake significant and intricate responsibilities related to specialized clerical functions.
Duties may include:
Planning, assigning, coordinating, directing, scheduling, evaluating, verifying, training, and processing information. A comprehensive understanding of policies, procedures, and methods relevant to your area of responsibility is essential. Initiative and independent judgment are frequently exercised in the development of procedures or methods, as well as in program coordination.
Work is conducted under general supervision, adhering to established policies and procedures, with performance assessed based on the completion of assignments and the results achieved.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to: Designated supervisor
Supervises: May oversee clerical staff
Essential Duties
- Engage in technical clerical work that necessitates independent judgment.
Additional Duties
Welcome and direct visitors, staff, faculty, and students. Review the work of other clerical employees. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college coursework is preferred.
Experience
Four years of progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional job-related education may substitute for some of the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Regular and reliable attendance is essential for this position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Essential: Working knowledge of office practices and methods.
Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives, and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public. Ability to communicate effectively orally, by phone, in person, and in writing. Ability to represent the department and University in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Proficiency in using a personal computer and other office equipment, including related university software and email.Physical Demands
