Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing end-of-day office tasks while ensuring a tidy and professional reception area.
  • Welcoming patients warmly and assisting them in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Updating patient records and insurance details accurately as required.
  • Verifying and scanning insurance cards and identification documents when necessary.
  • Guiding patients in completing necessary forms and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Collecting co-payments and processing payments while confirming insurance eligibility.
  • Managing reports and records, including faxing and attaching documents to patients' Electronic Medical Records.
  • Completing billing charge slips and submitting them for processing.
  • Facilitating patient check-out and scheduling follow-up visits.
  • Making reminder calls for upcoming appointments.
  • Reconciling cash drawer balances.
  • Upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience is essential.
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in lifting patients weighing up to 300 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and diverse staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
