Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Registration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform opening duties, including unlocking doors, preparing overnight patient charts, and printing daily appointment lists
  • Greet patients and make them feel welcome in our clinic
  • Accurately update patient demographics and verify insurance eligibility
  • Collect payments and copayments, and perform daily cash box reconciliation
  • Direct or assist patients in completing appropriate paperwork
  • Check out patients and schedule follow-up appointments as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays
  • Ability to travel to other ORA locations as needed
