Accounting Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in the construction industry. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our company's financial health.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Manage the budget process and conduct financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interact with various departments and provide financial information and guidance as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation, accruals, accounting, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
