Job Overview

Merchant McIntyre Associates is a leading federal grants and government relations firm based in Washington, D.C. We help nonprofit clients from the higher education, healthcare, and local government sectors achieve their federal funding and advocacy goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze federal legislation and regulations, including budget proposals and annual appropriations, impacting our clients.
  • Support federal grant-writing and legislative/policy objectives for our clients, including researching and identifying federal grant opportunities and providing support to the client services team.
  • Conduct long-term research projects in various issue areas, including health care, higher education, economic development, and workforce development.
  • Compile reports and client briefing/background materials.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling and planning logistics.
  • Support the business development team as needed.
Requirements
  • Junior status in an accredited undergraduate degree program; candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher, or those enrolled in a relevant graduate or professional program, are preferred.
  • Strong research skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
