Job Description

Merck is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Alliances. This role will play a critical part in developing and executing a strategy for alliance development and stakeholder engagement activities at the federal level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for alliance development and stakeholder engagement at the federal level.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key advocacy organizations that influence public policy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and policy priorities.
  • Represent Merck in industry and external engagements through formal presentations and communications.
  • Manage compliance guidance and processes for policy-related grants and memberships.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in government relations, relationship/coalition management, and/or alliance development at the federal level.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare public policy process and understanding of various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify strategic priorities and work within a matrix organization to bring together different internal stakeholders.
  • High degree of ethics and ability to build collaborative, effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, and ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
