Job Title: Assistant Program Manager

At Andrus Childrens Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our residential services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective, safe, and therapeutic operation of our cottage program.

Job Summary

The Assistant Program Manager will assist the Program Manager in leading the cottage program, ensuring that all work activities support the team in delivering high-quality residential services to our children. This includes planning, monitoring, and improving the overall program, as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Program Manager in developing and maintaining a staffing schedule to ensure adequate supervision of residents.
  • Ensure that Safety Plans and ICMPs are in place and actively used to guide treatment.
  • Support the Program Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training Direct Support Professionals and Recreation Therapists.
  • Monitor cottage budget lines to ensure the best use of resources to meet program needs.
  • Provide feedback, instruction, support, and/or disciplinary action as needed to staff members.
  • Develop a SELF-based assessment of each resident's individual history, issues, and needs, and communicate this assessment with the treatment team.
  • Train and orient new staff on all job tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a related field with 2 years direct care experience with children or adults with developmental or behavioral disabilities and 1 year of administrative/supervisory experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent managerial and administrative skills required.
  • Knowledgeable of trauma-informed care preferably in a residential setting.
  • Driver's License in good standing.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

Physical/Travel Requirements
  • Candidates must participate in our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training, which concludes with a written and verbal test.
