COMPENSATION: $18.00 to $20.00 (hourly)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Youth Program Coordinator at Westhab Inc. plays a crucial role in assisting the Program Director with various administrative responsibilities and tasks. This position focuses on implementing a diverse array of educational, enrichment, recreational, and leadership development initiatives for youth within a Positive Youth Development framework. Proof of Covid-19 Vaccinations is a prerequisite for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Program Director with administrative tasks such as documentation, data management, and logistical support.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Youth Counselors.
- Help in organizing and executing youth programs and activities.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of participating youth at all times.
- Facilitate academic instruction and enrichment activities.
- Participate in meetings and professional development sessions.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations.
- Accompany youth to various activities.
- Manage facility upkeep and the distribution of materials.
- Carry out additional assigned responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A High School Diploma/GED along with two years of experience in delivering after-school programs is required. A college diploma is preferred. A high-energy, dynamic personality, coupled with a genuine passion for youth development, is essential. The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs is necessary. Program hours may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
