Job Overview

The Gaming Cash Operations Specialist is accountable for the meticulous collection and counting of cash boxes from the gaming area, as well as conducting cash and ticker counts within the count room. This role adheres strictly to the company's Internal Control Policies and Procedures, alongside state regulations.

This overview excludes marginal functions that are incidental to the primary responsibilities of this position. All duties and requirements outlined are essential job functions. This description does not imply that these are the only tasks to be performed by the employee in this role. Employees are expected to follow any additional job-related instructions and perform other job-related tasks as requested by their supervisor.   • Delivers exceptional guest service to both internal and external clients, embodying the #AddLife culture in all interactions.
  • Encourages a supportive and motivating environment for fellow Team Members.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information in accordance with established procedures and company policy.
  • Conducts drop procedures by collecting drop boxes from slot machines and table games, ensuring strict compliance with Internal Control Policies and Procedures.
  • Accurately records the count of each box in the counting system and reconciles amounts with other count Team Members.
  • Adheres to all departmental and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.
  • Prepares necessary documentation to support and reconcile all cash and vouchers collected and counted.
  • Operates count machines and coin rollers in accordance with departmental and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assists fellow count Team Members in moving box carts weighing up to four hundred (400) pounds multiple times weekly.
  • Counts and verifies all bundled and loose cash transactions with the cashier.
  • Addresses issues within the scope of authority and recommends solutions for problems beyond the position's authority to the supervisor.
  • Keeps the supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the duties described, each Team Member has the following compliance responsibilities:

  • Participates in required training sessions provided by the Company.
  • Obtains and maintains necessary licenses.
  • Performs duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Takes necessary steps to ensure minors are not permitted to gamble or loiter in gaming areas, consume alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Possesses knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the Team Member's department.
  • Understands the Property's programs addressing problem gaming.
  • Reports any observed acts of wrongdoing.

Position Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED certificate is required. Experience in a cash handling environment is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and menu-driven programs is also preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License.
