Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Colonial Downs + Rosie's Gaming Emporium. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of our property, providing exceptional guest service, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide next-level guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrating our company culture in all interactions.
  • Responsible for fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
  • Responsible for general cleaning, including carpets, windows, gaming machines, offices, restrooms, and outdoors, as directed by the Lead Housekeeper.
  • Follows checklists, guidelines, and procedures for efficient and clean operation of assigned areas.
  • Attends and participates in pre-shift briefings, arrives on time, and adheres to OSHA and Hazcom safe work practices.
  • Assists with receiving equipment and supplies, coordinating distribution and storage, and maintaining all storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
  • Monitors equipment condition and uses all equipment correctly to ensure proper maintenance.
  • Resolves problems within the scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems beyond the scope of authority to the position's supervisor.
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
  • Obtain and retain required license(s).
  • Perform duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
Position Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED certificate. Ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels, and varied light levels, including flashing lights. Virginia Racing Commission License.
