YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Operations to lead our operational strategies and initiatives. This pivotal role will oversee the planning, directing, and coordination of non-farm operational activities within our organization. The Vice President will ensure the development and execution of efficient operational systems that align with the organization's current and future needs. This position will have direct oversight of our processing facilities, including quality assurance and supply chain management. Additionally, the role will provide guidance on operational functions across various joint venture facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and mentor a team of Vice Presidents overseeing Plant Operations, Supply Chain Logistics, and Quality Assurance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to executive leadership.
  • Identify and integrate innovative processes and technologies to enhance operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and achieve organizational goals.
  • Set and enforce policies and practices related to operations to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Safety Team to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Provide strategic insights to address challenges in logistics and customer service.
  • Analyze financial data to inform budgeting and operational planning.
  • Evaluate partnerships for operational effectiveness and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts with service providers to secure favorable terms.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and development.
  • Ensure accountability in operations to deliver exceptional service and competitive advantage.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor operational performance.
  • Manage operational budgets and ensure compliance.
  • Support the Commercial Team in executing strategic growth initiatives.
  • Ensure timely production of high-quality products to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Build a data-driven organization to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide analytical support for forecasting and operational planning.
  • Direct the development of annual business plans for key operational areas.
  • Standardize training programs to ensure operational excellence.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • A minimum of five years in a leadership position within a processing facility.
  • At least three years in upper management.
  • Experience in budgeting, planning, and financial analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and operational principles.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing teams.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial literacy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The role primarily involves an office setting with occasional fieldwork. Work hours may vary based on departmental needs, and travel may be required.
