Position Overview


The Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Dean of the School of Education and collaborating closely with faculty, the Coordinator of Clinical Experiences, the Marketing/Admissions Coordinator, and Program Advisors.


As the primary point of contact for students and visitors, the Coordinator must possess strong interpersonal and administrative skills to assist teacher candidates and disseminate program information effectively.


This role involves organizing and managing clerical support for faculty members within the School of Education, ensuring confidentiality in all student and faculty interactions.


The Coordinator is expected to demonstrate technological proficiency in preparing documents, letters, assessments, and spreadsheets for faculty and staff, as well as generating reports and maintaining databases.


Additionally, the Coordinator will schedule educational events, handle incoming communications, maintain student files, and provide comprehensive support to all education faculty.

Key Responsibilities


1. Support the Dean and Faculty: Provide primary administrative assistance to the Dean and secondary support to full-time and adjunct faculty members.


2. Document Creation: Utilize current software to produce various documents, including brochures, reports, meeting minutes, and newsletters.


3. Confidential File Management: Maintain and update confidential student files in collaboration with academic advisors and coordinators.


4. Database Maintenance: Keep accurate contact information for cooperating schools and faculty members.


5. Financial Administration: Prepare contracts for faculty and process expense reports.


6. Accreditation Support: Compile necessary data for program assessment and accreditation reports.


7. Event Planning: Organize special events, including graduation celebrations and other educational gatherings.


8. Office Management: Ensure a well-organized and efficient office environment, supporting faculty and student needs.
