TITLE: Cleaning Operations Manager

DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping

REPORTS TO: Director of Housekeeping

JOB SUMMARY

Oversee designated areas to provide insights to management and staff regarding the cleanliness and upkeep of those spaces in accordance with established standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage the activities of room attendants and general cleaning staff, taking necessary actions to rectify any substandard conditions, behaviors, or work practices. Evaluate guest rooms, public areas, and staff zones to ensure adherence to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security protocols. Notify management of any discrepancies from the established standards.
  • Coordinate with the Front Desk and Engineering teams using the EMPOWER system. Log incidents, track progress, and resolve outstanding issues to guarantee complete guest satisfaction.
  • Facilitate Housekeeping meetings.
  • Delegate room assignments.
  • Monitor and review activities within the EMPOWER system.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to the essential functions, this role may involve performing a combination of the following supportive tasks, with the time allocation determined by management based on the specific needs of the hotel.

  • Execute general cleaning duties utilizing standard hotel cleaning supplies to comply with health regulations.
  • Address additional responsibilities as needed, such as managing unexpected spills and fulfilling special guest requests.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be capable of standing and moving at a steady pace for up to 4 hours continuously.

  • Must be able to lift weights up to 75 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to maneuver carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. consistently.
  • Must possess the ability to work efficiently in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete cleaning tasks.
  • Requires skills in grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and effective communication.
  • Continuous communication with guests, supervisors, and other staff is essential.
  • Visual acuity is necessary, with a focus on near vision and depth perception.
  • Manual dexterity is required to operate all necessary equipment.

AVAILABILITY

This organization operates every day of the week, 24 hours a day. At times, it may be necessary to adjust your regular work schedule, including holidays, based on business needs or task assignments.
