Experienced Auto Body Shop Estimator

Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Auto Body Shop Estimator to join our team at Hendrick Collision Center Concord. As an Auto Body Shop Estimator, you will play a critical role in identifying and documenting necessary body repair work for customers, scheduling body work to be performed, and ensuring that all repairs are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule Appointments: Schedule appointments with customers to discuss their repair needs and provide estimates for the work required.
- Work with Customers and Technicians: Collaborate with customers and Collision Center Technicians to identify required repair work and ensure that all repairs are completed to the customer's satisfaction.
- Offer Additional Services: Offer additional services and repairs to customers to enhance their overall experience and increase revenue for the Collision Center.
- Compute Repair Costs: Compute the cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicles to their original condition.
- Enter Estimates: Enter itemized estimates on repair orders and explain the estimates to customers.
- Meet Production Standards: Meet Collision Center standards for repair/order production and maintain a high level of quality in all repairs.
- Maintain CSI Standards: Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above Company standards.
- Organize Work Area: Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Participate in Training: Participate in required training to stay up-to-date on the latest repair techniques and technologies.
- Record Hours Worked: Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
- Follow Safety Rules: Follow all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a related field, such as automotive repair or customer service.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and persuasive selling skills; working knowledge of body repair methods; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products; ability to communicate effectively with customers, company personnel, and insurance adjusters.
- Certifications: Valid Driver's License required; Automobile Salesperson License preferred.
The Auto Body Shop Estimator will work in a fast-paced body shop environment, interacting with customers, Collision Center Technicians, and other company personnel. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The employee will be exposed to load noise, vibration, paint-dust, and other body repair shop conditions.
