About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Pro. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body component issues on heavy-duty trucks.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and factory service manuals to identify and repair problems.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and drivers to discuss vehicle issues and preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic system inspections, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and ability to interpret and make repairs from service manuals.
  • Ability to complete work within suggested repair times and estimate time and material required for repairs.
  • Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to assistant technicians and shop helpers.
  • CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months).
Working Environment

This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions. You will be required to lift up to 75 pounds, push and pull 50 pounds, and frequently bend, reach, and twist to perform work.
