Position Overview:

CTG is looking to fill a Mortgage Processing Specialist II role. This position is pivotal in managing the processing of both conventional and government loan applications, adhering to product, underwriting, and specific state and investor guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, borrowers, and loan officers, to facilitate a smooth loan application process.
  • Collaborate with various departments and external entities to gather necessary documentation for processing, such as employment verification, IRS transcripts, title searches, appraisals, and bank statements.
  • Promptly inform all relevant parties of any discrepancies related to standard mortgage guidelines.
  • Regularly monitor and update credit reports, appraisals, and income documentation to ensure compliance with underwriting conditions, working closely with underwriting teams to resolve any issues.
  • Perform administrative tasks that support the origination department, including preparing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowners insurance, and updating loan conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to assess changes needed in regulatory documents.
  • Adhere to the company's risk management standards and identify any risk-related issues that require escalation.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that reflects the company's values.
  • Maintain internal control standards and address any audit points raised by external regulators.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with at least one year of experience in the mortgage industry, or two years of equivalent work experience.
  • Alternatively, three years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of one year in the mortgage sector.
  • Six months of specific mortgage processing experience plus an additional 6-12 months in customer service, operations, or financial services may also be considered.
  • Proficient PC skills with a strong command of spreadsheet, word processing, email, and PDF software.
