About the Role

Cognixia is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Processor to join our team. As a Mortgage Processor, you will play a critical role in helping clients choose the most suitable mortgage options and guiding them through the loan process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their financial needs and goals, and provide personalized mortgage recommendations.
  • Loan Application Processing: Gather and verify client information, including assets, debts, and credit history, to ensure accurate loan applications.
  • Loan Verification: Conduct thorough verifications of client information and references to ensure loan eligibility.
  • Loan File Management: Review and correct loan files for accuracy and completeness, and submit them for appraisal.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between loan officers, underwriters, and clients, providing timely updates and support throughout the loan process.
  • Loan Closing: Conduct a final review of the loan file to ensure all requirements are met, and facilitate a smooth loan closing process.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, business, or economics.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage processing or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in loan processing software and systems.
