CTG, Inc. is looking for a skilled Mortgage Processing Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear communication with all stakeholders involved in the mortgage application process, including customers, brokers, and loan officers, to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with various internal departments and external entities to gather necessary documentation, such as employment verification, IRS transcripts, and bank statements.
- Promptly inform all relevant parties of any discrepancies related to standard mortgage guidelines.
- Regularly monitor and update credit reports, appraisals, and income documentation to ensure compliance with underwriting conditions.
- Support the origination department with administrative tasks, including preparing commitment letters and reviewing title and homeowners insurance.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and guidelines, maintaining high standards of compliance.
- Utilize strong analytical skills to assess changes needed in regulatory documents.
- Identify and escalate any risk-related issues to management in alignment with the company's risk standards.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that reflects the company’s values.
- Maintain internal control standards and address any audit points or regulatory issues as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree with at least one year of experience in the mortgage industry, or three years of equivalent work experience, including one year in mortgage processing.
- Proficient in PC applications, including spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Ability to make informed decisions based on provided information and adapt to changing policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of organization.
